Nida Haq is a compassionate counsellor who provides individualized support for adults 19 and older navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, and mindfulness-related challenges. She believes in meeting people exactly where they are, with honesty and compassion. Nida is passionate about providing culturally informed, trauma-aware care to South Asian individuals in Canada and brings extensive experience supporting Indigenous communities, particularly with grief and loss.
Her approach is personalized, drawing on CBT, person-centred therapy, solution-focused strategies, strength-based work, mindfulness practices, and motivational interviewing. Prior to counselling, Nida worked as a victim support worker assisting women through highly challenging experiences and supported men in an addictions recovery centre for drug and alcohol treatment. These roles strengthened her dedication to listening attentively and supporting each person’s resilience, strengths, and drive for change.
As a daughter, sister, mother of two energetic children, and counsellor, Nida understands the challenges of navigating life while caring for oneself. This lived experience shapes the authenticity, warmth, and grounded presence she brings to her work. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, reading, podcasts, and doing art projects with her children, which inspire the balance and creativity she brings to therapy.
